| Equifax, Lycos Announce Strategic Internet Marketing
Agreement Equifax Designated a Premier Provider of Online Financial Information Products, Services Equifax Inc., (NYSE: EFX), the worldwide leader in consumer information management, transaction processing and knowledge-based products and services, today announced a strategic Internet marketing agreement with Lycos, Inc. (Nasdaq: LCOS), the fastest growing Internet portal and the world's largest online community, to provide Lycos.com users access to Equifax information products and services at a co-branded site in the near future. The agreement, the first of its kind between the world's leading consumer information management company and a leading Internet portal, will provide consumers easy, immediate and secure access to a wide range of financial-related products, services and information. Beginning in third quarter 1999, consumers can click on Equifax-branded tabs on Lycos' Business & Careers, Auto, Real Estate and Personal Finance Web Guides and the Lycos Shopping channel to reach a highly-secure, content-rich co-branded web site. Equifax will manage the co-branded site using Equifax's identity authentication technology, 128-bit encryption and security infrastructure.
