Ltd., in conjunction with Casio, Inc., announced today the release of two new devices -- PC-UNITE BZX-20 and BZX-20D Wrist-type Wearable PIM Data Viewers that can store and display contacts, calendar, and PIM (Personal Information Management) data downloaded from a computer using infrared. PC-UNITE BZX-20 (black resin) will sell at the suggested retail price of $99 and the PC-UNITE BZX-20D (silver resin) at the suggested retail price of $129. Both models will be available Spring 2000.

These new models mark the latest additions to the growing lineup of useful new "wrist data devices" that have earned CASIO the reputation of being the leading innovator in feature-packed timepieces. The wrist data device genre was born in 1998 with the introduction of the CASIO PC-UNITE HBX-100B, a new type of wristwatch that uses infrared to share PIM data files with a computer.

The new PC UNITE BZX-20 and BZX-20D are equipped with the same popular infrared capabilities as the original HBX-100B, plus enhanced PC synchronization functions. In addition to being able to exchange of PIM data with a computer, the new PC-UNITE models also can link with Microsoft(R) Outlook(TM), and even exchange data with a portable terminal such as a CASSIOPEIA Palm-size PC or a Palm Computing platform device. All of this and more make the new PC-UNITE models the perfect way to take your PIM data along with you wherever you go.

- Infrared data communication using PC link PC-UNITE comes with a built-in infrared port and PC link software (for Windows 95, 98, NT4.0), and an infrared adapter for your computer. After installing the software on your computer, you can exchange PIM data with a computer or portable data terminal using infrared you can also exchange data between two PC-UNITE watches.

If your PC already has an IrDA port, you can communicate with PC-UNITE without an infrared adapter. If your computer does not have an IrDA port, you can communicate using the infrared adapter that comes bundled with PC-UNITE.
