GO Mobile Browser Ready for Use

3G.cn in China has made available GO, the latest mobile browser. Being the biggest wireless portal in China allows 3G.cn to run the most promotions and get the largest number of users on a platform quickly making GO a serious competitor shortly after being release, according to a press release today.

Browser Features

The browser is a step forward with a new interface, smooth operation, quick response on WAP sites and personalized information. The interface was provided on a trial basis earlier this year in green but the full release allows for the color to be modified to any variation. You will need to purchase a 3G phone to automatically get the browser installed but can add it to older cell phones if desired. The browser started making money on day one and the company is excited about it’s prospects.

iPhone App At Bat 2009 to have Live MLB

MLB.com will begin streaming live content to iPhone and iPod devices through their app MLB.com At Bat 2009. This great feature is made possible on phones that have the iPhone OS 3.0 update. Up to two games a day will be available beginning Thursday June 18, 2009.

FolioLink Provides for Large Image Upload

In their latest FLASH design, FolioLink now provides for large images to be uploaded to their popular photo website according to a release today. With their new scaling software, photographers can upload large images that will look great on desktops with big viewing areas but then also look nice on smaller interfaces like laptops and PDAs. The push to smaller lightweight images on the web has now reversed itself with many clients wanting large clear images over broadband connections.

Facebook.com received an investment of $200 million the week from Digital Sky Technologies (DTS). The investment was in exchange for 1.96 in equity, thus resulting in a valuation of $10 billion for all the equity. The investor also wants to purchase outstanding shares from employees and others for an additional $100 million.

WalMart Looking to Increase Tech Sales

WalMart reported today in a press release that they are revamping their electronic areas to have wider aisles and more brand names. All 3,500 WalMart stores nationally will get improved consumer electronic areas beginning this week with more mobile solutions and home entertainment devices. WalMart has continued to take market share away from traditional electronic outlets like Circuit City and Best Buy and plans to continue the current trend.

Delta Air Lines Delta Offering Wi-Fi on 50% of Flights Delta Air Lines is now offering WI-FI service on 50% of it's flights within the United States. They are leading the way with number of aircraft offering the highly desired service. 139 airplanes now come with WI-FI access for passengers to surf the Internet from their laptops during flight. Other portal electronic devices may also access the service for instant messaging and email. The company's goal is to have the service available on all flights to allow customers the ease of knowing which airline to select for their personal and business air travel.

Skype Offers $5.95 Plan for South American Calls

Many business and individuals are finding out about Skype, a leader in Internet communications, and utilizing their services to save on their monthly phone bills. In a press release today, the company announced unlimited service to a number of South American countries for a low $5.95 a month pricing. Countries include Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Spain, Puerto Rico and Argentina. The plan is being marketed to US residents with family members in these countries.
