| DAILY INTERNET NEWSPAPER AIMED AT CHRISTIAN AUDIENCE
ANNOUNCED Haymarket, VA, March 18, 1999 - IWAS Internet, a leading Christian Web publisher, today announced the launch of Free Daily (http://www.freedaily.com), an alternative online newspaper created for the evangelical Christian community. Free Daily, published on the Web six days a week, presents U.S. and world news, opinion columns, and editorials from a conservative, Christian perspective. Ted Gausmann, editor of Free Daily, stated, "Were excited about bringing an alternative news source to online Christians. We obviously dont claim to be a completely objective source for news, and we wont strive to be. We want to provide interesting, relevant news and commentary for people with a Christian, rather than secular, world-view."
Free Daily publisher IWAS Internet (http://www.iwas.com) was founded in 1997 by Ted and Janie Gausmann. The company has created a number of popular Christian Web sites, including ServeHim.com, a Christian portal with thousands of users cited by ABCNEWS.com as an example of the new Internet trend toward specialized "mini-portals"; ChildrensMinistry.net, noted in Childrens Ministry magazine as "the biggest collection of categorized childrens ministry resources on the Web"; and, Christian Topics, recently highlighted in Gospel Communications Networks' "Internet for Christians" newsletter as "a spiritual treasury for Christian growth". |
